Arbitration Rules

  • 1.Since its establishment, CRCICA adopted, with minor modifications, the Arbitration Rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (the “UNCITRAL”), approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations by resolution No. 31/98 on December 15, 1976.

  • 2.CRCICA has amended its Arbitration Rules in 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2007(1) to ensure that they continue to meet the needs of their users, reflecting best practice in the field of international institutional arbitration.
  • 3.The present CRCICA Arbitration Rules are based upon the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, as revised in 2010, with minor modifications emanating mainly from the Centre’s role as an arbitral institution and an appointing authority.(2)

(1) These amendments became effective as of 1 January 1998,1 October 2000, 21 November 2002 and 1 June 2007, respectively. The version amended in 2007 is available at:
http://www.crcica.org/rules/arbitration/cr_prev_arb_rules_en.pdf
The other previous versions are available upon request.

(2) The UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules as revised in 2010 have entered into force as from 15 August 2010 and are available at:
